Through-out Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England there are numerous crosses both stone and wall carvings which represent many meanings and have many layered interpretations. Apart from representing the cross of Christ they can also symbolise Earth in the horizontal axis and heaven in the vertical. This cross with the surrounding circle is said to represent the ‘great wheel of life’ and solar energy. The cross made of solid pewter measures 7x5.3cm and comes with a long pewter chain and explanation in a velvet pouch.
